Safety protocol

We are open again to receive visitors and guests! In the ongoing struggle against the Covid-19 virus, your and our safety comes first. We have taken several measures to make your visit to the Sangam as pleasant and safe as possible. What do you need to know?

  • To guarantee the safety of all, we will receive and accommodate groups that are not larger than 10 people

  • Please make an appointment so that we can ensure that everything is in place and prepare our staff and facilities for your arrival.

  • The Kuttu Kalai Kudam is a building with a lot of open-air ventilation. In line with our efforts to make whatever we do environmentally sustainable, none of our facilities has air conditioning. Please take this into account when choosing your clothing.

  • We have a lot of public space to walk around, sit, talk or train with only sparse furniture. We request you to use this space to keep your distance: 6 feet (1.5 meters) between you and someone else unless it is somebody from your own household. In particular when speaking or singing, keeping this distance is of utmost importance to protect yourself and others.

  • We request you kindly to wear a face mask in all public spaces, unless what you do prevents you from wearing it.

  • At the entrance, we will ask you to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. There is a wash basin adjacent to our open auditorium where you can repeat this action – as frequently as possible or necessary.

  • We will make sure that we can welcome you in a clean environment. Before every activity, we clean the auditorium and its corridors thoroughly. Rooms are cleaned just before your arrival and we will rent out only rooms that have a separate bathroom. Please do not open doors that are closed to avoid unnecessary touching of door knobs. We make sure that door knobs, restrooms and much used surfaces are cleaned often.

  • We request you kindly to use the option of online financial transactions so that you and we will not have to handle physical money.
